IRP TARGET BAKERIES WITH 2540 HPP SERIES BELTING

After many years of development and testing, IRP Engineering Plastics are proud to introduce their NEW 2540 HPP ( High Performance Polymer) modular belting and chain series.

The recent launch of this 1 inch pitch 2540 HPP Chain and modular belting series brings some exciting new advantages which the bakery industry will find very useful in their endevours to reduce costs.

Due to the special make up and development of the material used in the HPP Series, excellent wear and heat resistant properties are exhibited when using this 2540 HPP series, and is ideal for use in the bakeries where high wear and extreme heat is a norm.

IRP Engineering Plastics have designed, developed and can now supply a complete belting and chain series that is used to replace heavier and out dated stainless steel slatband chain, stainless steel slatband chains cause excessive wear, noise pollution and added load on bread pans and conveyors compared to the use of the 2540 HPP series.

Studies have shown that there is an increased counter surface friction of up to 50% between two metal surfaces (eg bread pan on top of stainless steel slatband chain) when compared to the use of a plastic surface and a metal surface (eg bread pan on top of 2540 HPP series)  . This study leads to a major advantage when using IRP’s 2540 HPP  series compared to the use of stainless steel slatband chains in this application…. In reality using IRP’s 2540 HPP series will lead to considerable less wear on the bread pans used in the bakeries today.

Another major advantage when using IRP’s 2540 HPP Series is the considerable reduced load and wear on drive motors and peripherals. There is also considerable reduction in power and energy consumption conveying this lighter 2540 HPP series compared to the heavier stainless steel slatband chain. IRP’s 2540 HPP Series weights less than half than that of stainless steel slatband chain and therefore will reduce operational costs in the long run.

Other advantages of using IRP’s 2540 HPP Series includes considerably less noise reduction when using our 2540 HPP series compared to stainless steel slatband chain…. and the conversion to IRP’s 2540 HPP Series from stainless steel is simple and quick, all current guides, wearstrips remain the same as used on stainless steel slatband, all that is needed is a change in sprockets for the 2540 Series range.
